Pearl Artimus White, 81, of Entiat died in a local hospital Saturday following a sudden illness which was a result of an accident occurring on February 11th.

Mr. White was born on January 29, 1872 at Maple Grove, Barron County, Wisconsin to parents Alvin and Mary (Millard) White. On February 5, 1893 he married Cora Belle Harris in Maple Grove, Wisconsin. To this union were born three children - Douglas, Merlyn, and Everett. He was a lumber grader by trade and he and Cora also owned a bee apiary business. They continued to reside at Barron, Wisconsin until the death of Mrs. White in 1936. In 1944 Mr. White came to Entiat where he since made his home with his sister, Mrs. Olive Fletcher.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife Cora and one son, Douglas White of Port Orchard, Washington. Surviving are one son, Everett "Red" White of Barron, Wisconsin; one daughter, Mrs. Merlyn Akensen of Barron, Wisconsin; three brothers, Minnard White of Hillsdale, Wisconsin, Frank White of Seattle, and Clifford White of Lebanon, Oregon; four sisters, Mrs. Olive Fletcher and Mrs. Ethel Dissmore both of Entiat, Mrs. Emma Blackburn of Wenatchee, and Mrs. Eva Mitts of Gerber, California; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be announced by Jones and Jones.

Pearl fell off a ladder while pruning trees. He sustained a compound fracture to his right leg. Death resulted from a blood clot.
