She was a daughter of Joseph B. and Minnie L. (Scheibel) Hodapp, born in Cleveland July 7, 1919.
Jean graduated from Andrew's School for Girls in 1937.
She retired from Sheraton Furniture and International Multi-Foods. She was a member of St. Mary Parish in Chardon and attended Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby many years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her large family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be missed by her friends and family; her son, William (Pat Stewart) Johnson of Concord; two grandchildren, Debra (Ronald) Barak and Robert (Karolyn) Johnson; three great grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, and Thomas; her sister, Sandra Hodapp of Perry; several nieces and nephews; great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Leo Hodapp; and two sisters, Rita Giesel and infant sister Faith Hodapp.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the Care Givers at Briar Cliff in Middlefield for their loving care.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Cyprian's Parish, 4223 Middle Ridge Rd., Perry. The family will receive friends and family 1 hour prior to the Celebration at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland, 2600 Lander Rd., Pepper Pike, OH 44124.
