On June 4, 2021, John "Buck" Sikorski flew free of his pain and went on to be reunited with the love of his life, wife Darlene. John was born on July 17, 1933 in Bendon, MI to his parents John and Sarah (Hall) Sikorski and was always surrounded by family with ten sisters and four brothers.

He met the love of his life at the local Copemish dances and were married on September 7, 1963. Together, they built their dream home with daughter, Darilynn and son, John. However, their greatest pleasure was their grandchildren Jordan, John, and Teal.

They all enjoyed trips to the beach with ice cream and those special sugar cookies. They also enjoyed his pancakes, eggs, and bacon and they claimed his were the best. He also enjoyed watching boxing, old country music shows, as he called them Hootenanny shows, and polka shows that reminded him of his wife, and watching his grandchildren in sports.

He worked as a carpenter for Tezak Construction for many years and retired from Traverse City Area Schools.

John is survived by his daughter, Darilynn (Tim) VanHorn; son, John Sikorski; grandsons, Jordan (Courtney) VanHorn, John VanHorn; granddaughter, Teal Sikorski; sisters, Edna Rinard, Shirley Witkop, Sandra Witkop, Nancy Bower, Barbara Kleeman; and brother, William Sikorski.
