DUSON - Jamie Benoit, age 43, passed away in an automobile accident on Saturday, April 27, 2013. The family requests a visitation only, which will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary that evening at 7:00 p.m.
Jamie was born on August 28, 1969 in Lafayette and was a graduate of Acadiana High School in Scott. He loved shooting pool and was very good at it. Jamie was a jack-of-all-trades, from carpentry and plumbing to lawn work. When his family or friends called, he was always there to lend a helping hand. He was employed by Kindred Hospital of Lafayette.
Survivors include his mother, Judy Bower Benoit and his father, Emery Benoit; one sister, Tobi Domingue; two nieces, Brooke and Alexis Domingue; nephew, Dylan Domingue; maternal grandmother, Gladys Albarado; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers, Curtis Bower and Anthony Albarado, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Angelle Castille and Berchman Benoit.
