Hagen, Karen Marie

Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at the age of 73 years. She is survived by one son, William (Jennifer) Hagen; three grandchildren, Henry, Harrison, Scarlett; two brothers, Lawrence (Carol) Gee and Gary (Karen) Gee; and several nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

Karen retired from the Michigan State Police Labor Relations Division, was a Professor at Lansing Community College, Spiritual Director with the Adrian Dominican Sisters, a Veteran of the United States Navy, and was a proud graduate of Eastern Michigan University and Michigan State University. Karen enjoyed reading, writing, and other artist endeavors and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. A private interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.

The family will receive friends at Queen's Church on Friday, February 3 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.
