Final Rites Said For Alonzo Smith Alonzo Smoih. 66, resident of Laneit for the past 23 years, died it his home, following serious illness of five days. He had been in failing health since 1945.
Services were held Wednesday, from the Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Gordon Winchester officiating, assisted by the Rev. Barney Brumbeloe. Burial was in Lanett, conducted by Johnson and Blakely.
Mr. Smith was borne in Oconee county, Ga. He was a member of the Lanett Baptist church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs Ella White Smith: four daughters, Mrs. I. M. Hollis, Mrs. Austin Mitchem, and Miss Dorothy Smith, all of Lanett. Mrs. Fred White, West Point, a son James P. Smith, Langdale; two grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
