Helen Tyska Bassoli, of Hamden passed away peacefully on May 13, 2022 at Whitney Manor. She was the wife of the late Henry Bassoli, Sr. Helen was born on September 9, 1923, the 7th of 8 children to the late Frank and Anna Obejenska Tyska, who lived on Salem Street in New Haven. Helen was employed by Winchester Repeating Arms for many years before leaving to raise her family. She was the beloved mother of Henry "Bud" (the late Beverly Lewis) Bassoli, Jr. and Barbara (George) Bildstein. Loving grandmother of Stephen (Katie) Bassoli, Kyle (MaryKate) Bassoli and Cherilyn Marie Bildstein and great grandma to Ivy, Rheya, Evan and Jack Bassoli. Her family would like to thank the staff at Whitney Manor for their many years of compassionate care allowing Helen to reach the age of 98.
Visiting hours will be Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 in the Lupinski Funeral Home, Inc., 821 State Street, New Haven. A graveside service will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
