Jean Griswold Alderson, age 85, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late William Alderson, died Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Connecticut Health Center, of Southport. Mrs. Alderson was born in Bridgeport, and was a lifelong area resident. She was retired from the Singer Corporation. She was a life long member of the United Congregational Church, Bridgeport, where she was a member of the church choir. Jean was a member of the Stratford Oratorial Society and the Mary Sillman Chapter of the D.A.R. She was predeceased by her beloved twin sister, Alaine H. Griswold. Jean was a devoted and caring mother to her daughter, Cynthia Alderson.
