The body of a German named John Ulmer, a bar-tender, who has been missing about two weeks, was found last evening in the river, in rear of the Kramer school house ruins. A coroner's inquest was held, the jury returning a verdict of death by drowning. The remains of the deceased, under orders from the mayor, were placed in the vacant room in front of the calaboose last night. The deceased was about thirty-two years of age, and for same time past, up to six weeks ago, had been in the employ of Billy Zeisler, as a bar-tender. He was from Cincinnati, later from St. Louis, and at the latter place was employed in Toney Faust's saloon.
