He was born in Waycross, GA to the late Claude Aldridge and Frances McDowell Aldridge. He was a construction worker most of his life and also served in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brooklynn Aldridge; five brothers, Ronnie Aldridge, Tommy Aldridge, Darrell Aldridge, Danny Aldridge, and Jerry Aldridge; two sisters, Donna Aldridge and Wanda Aldridge; and his step-mother, Molly Aldridge.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Aldridge of Douglas; three daughters, Vanessa Aldridge Taylor of Lake Park, GA, Rachel Aldridge of Douglas, and Erin Wampler of Douglas; two sons, Jason Aldridge of Waycross and Luke Winder of Ft. Wayne, IN; 19 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Bell of Eufaula, AL and Earl Aldridge (Carolyn) of Blackshear; a sister, Glenda Davis (Buddy) of Waycross; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Jean Aldridge of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (February 18, 2023) at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The family will begin receiving friends at the church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Memorialization will be by cremation.
