Death came suddenly last evening to Rev. G. E. McGauley (1894-1949), age 54, popular pastor of Lemon Heights Baptist Church, following a heart attack.
Rev. McGauley, recently a member of the faculty of the Putnam High School, and active local minister, is survived by his widow, six daughters, three sons, and fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock from the church he had served so faithfully - the Lemon Heights Baptist Church; with Dr. Davis C. Woolley and Rev. Carroll officiating.
