The funeral of Miss Mildred Signor, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Signor, was held at their home on Brinkerhoff street yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
Rev. J.L. Cole officiated at the ceremony, at which a large number of friends gathered to pay their last respects. The bearers were Walton True, Carl and James Banker, Nelson True, Geo. Cavanagh and Guy Ayers.
The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful, testifying to the affection and esteem in which the beloved young girl was held.
In the death of Miss Signor, Plattsburgh loses one of her brightest and most popular young ladies, and the loss will be deeply felt among her schoolmates, in the church, where she was active and helpful, and in the entire community.
Throughout her illness, which was exceedingly severe, Mildred was always cheerful and patient, and though suffering great distress from the malignant growth which ended her young life, her thought was constantly for those about her.
Her lovable disposition and bright, sunny smile, won her friends wherever she went, and her memory will be tenderly cherished by many hearts that today extend their sympathy to the bereaved family. Mildred is survived by father, mother, and only sister, Ruth.
Among the friends from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Signor of Keeseville, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Signor of Burlington, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Signor of Harkness, Mrs. Flora Wilson of Redford, Mrs. Frank Langry and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. richard Kissane, Mrs. Samuel Healey and son, Miss Gertrude Stackpole and Mrs. Wm.
