Aaron Lynn Pennell, 32, of Purdy, died February 24, 2002 from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.

Mr. Pennell was born August 5, 1969, in Monett. He was a 1987 graduate of Purdy High School, was a bull rider for 12 years with the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association, and a steer wrestler for 10 years. He was a self-employed welder. He was a member of the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association, Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association, and American Cowboy Rodeo Association. He attended Gunter Methodist Church.

He married Carol Graham on December 31, 1992.

Survivors include his father, of Purdy; his mother and step-father, of Rogers, AR; his grandmother, of Purdy; and three sisters, of Purdy and of Rogers, AR.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers.

Services were held on Wednesday, February 27 2002, at Gunter Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Nickle officiating. Burial was in Gunter Cemetery east of Butterfield.
