Thomas L. Clement, Sr., 77 of Springfield, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2023 at St. John's Hospital. Thomas was one of twelve children born to Clifford and Velma Cook Clement, Sr in Springfield on December 23, 1945. He married Shirley Sirtout and they had two Children. He later married Melody Smothers on she preceded him in death.
Tom was a US Army veteran serving from 1965-1968 during the Vietnam War.
He retired from Bordon Chemical after twenty-five years of service. After retirement, he worked for Aerus Electrolux and became very active in the veterans community.
He was a member of VFW Post #10302, VVA "Vietnam Veterans of America" #534; Howard County Vietnam Veterans Organization and American Legion Post #809.
Tom loved cars, gardening, and riding his Harley Davidson.
Also preceding him in death are his parents; two sisters, Cathy Roman and Susie Fold; two brothers, John and William Clement.
Burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Military Honors will be conducted.
