Clyde Smith 77, of Hode, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Appalachian Regional Hospital in South Williamson, Kentucky. He was born in Mingo County, West Virginia on July 18, 1938 to the late Floyd and Grace Sartin Smith. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Deskins Smith, two daughters, Drema Deskins of Stone, Kentucky and Donna Spradlin of Dawsonville, Georgia, four grandchildren, Wesley Arnn, Adriane Copley, Misty Joyce and Timothy Copley along with three great grandchildren. He is also survived by eight siblings, Floyd Smith Jr., Albert Smith, Donald Smith, Kenny Smith, Lonnie Smith, Wanda Hughes, Gale Mayberry and Sharon Sparks. Clyde was a member of the Ajax Church of Christ of Lenore, West Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at the Hode Church of God in Warfield, Kentucky on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 1:00pm with Gene Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at the Deskins Cemetery in Lenore, West Virginia.
