LOCAL NEWS OF THE WEEK
John Storms, an old settler and one of the wealthiest farmers in Pine township, died Thursday evening. His death was due to paralysis. Mr. Storms was born in Germany and was 83 years old. He had been a resident of Porter county for fifty years. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. C. R. Warren, Chicago; Mrs. Louis VanSlow, residing near Burdick; Henry and Albert Storms, residing on the farm; Chris Storms, of Tweed, Canada, and August Storms, of Centerville, Mich. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Eight square school house, near the Storms homestead, with interment in the cemetery of that place.
