Lillian Suttles Brissey Paul

Daughter of Robert D. & Martha Eugenia Miller Suttles.

Her first husband was Charles Manley Brissey. They were divorced at the time of his death in 1954 even though Lillian was listed on his death certificate as his wife, but the document also indicated he was widowed and Lillian was not listed as a survivor of his in his obituary. Her second husband was James Paul, and she was already known as Lillian Paul in the 1930 Census. He also predeceased her.

She was survived by a son, Paul Brissey of New York; two sisters, Mrs. George (Ethel) Baker and Mrs. Andrew (Lula) Powell, both of Anderson; and three brothers, John Suttles and Thomas Suttles, both of Anderson, and Rufus Suttles of Waterloo.

Funeral services: Friday, August 19, 1966, graveside at Silver Brook Cemetery, conducted by Rev. T. O. Roberts.

Nephews served as pallbearers.
