Blaine was born March 19, 1959, at Fort Yates ND to Earl Henry Claymore and Evelyn (Agard) Claymore. He was baptized in the Catholic Church and received his 1st Communion. He attended school at the St. Bernard's Mission School and Fort Yates High School. He was a good student. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He went on his first hunt when he was 12 years old with his brother-in-law, Terry Yellow Fat, and was hooked. Later in his life he hunted with his nephews, Dana Yellow Fat and Wayland Bad Hand. He taught many of his friends and relatives how to hunt and take care to clean their guns. He was employed with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe as the Director of Maintenance for many years. He became disabled with back problems and diabetes and had to quit working until his death. He loved all of his children and grandchildren and always cooked good meals for them as he was a wonderful cook. He was humorous and had many stories to tell. There were many people who passed through his home that were fed and offered a place to stay. He was kindhearted and generous with what little he had. He was given the nickname Stoney Burke by Georgie Boy Grey Bear. Stoney Burke was a cowboy on TV that Blaine loved to watch. He liked the Little Rascals and used Crisco on his head to look like Alfalfa. His sister Nadine had to wash his hair three times to get the oil out. He had many good friends who have all passed on.
