Seminole resident Bobby Lindberg Mills died Sunday, October 20, 2002 at Wewoka Nursing Center at the age of 75. He was born February 25, 1927 in the Little Community to Rufus Melvin and Bertie Mae Arnold Mills.

He married Pauline L. Martin Wilcox on March 9, 2001 in Maud.

Mr. Mills was a retired superintendent of gasoline plant construction. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II as a seaman first class serving from September 8, 1944 to June 13, 1946. He received the Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal.

Mr. Mills was a member of Seminole City Lodge #467-AF and AM for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Betty Joan Gilkey Mills on February 6, 1966 and Iris Lynn Patrick Mills in 1996 and an infant son, James Lynn Mills.

He is survived by his wife of the home, one son, Dwight Mills of Seminole, two stepsons, Buster Wilcox and J. D. Wilcox, both of Seminole, one stepdaughter, Diane Meeks of Noble, two brothers, Claud Mills of Midland, Texas and Walter Mills of San Angelo, Texas, one sister, Edna Parrish of Seminole, six step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Doyle Long is set to officiate. Burial is to follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Casket bearers are Gene West, Melvin Underwood, Rex Mills, Buster Wilcox, J. D. Wilcox, and Jackie Meeks. Honorary bearers are Donnie Stewart, Darrel Williams, Kenneth Parish and Dean Walker.
