Robert also served in the Spanish-American War (1898) and the Phillipine campaign. He was married to Ester Healy (or possibly Healey, or Heley) September 9, 1903 in Olympia, Wa. The couple had 3 children: Margret Ester b. 12 Apr 1904 d. 27 Mar 1943, Robert Frances b. 16 Apr 1906 d. 15 Jul 1973, Emmett John b. 14 Jun1907 d. 23 Dec 1988.
