HARDIN--- Alexander Fox, 85, retired area farmer and rancher, passed away Sunday, April 11 1993, in the Big Horn County Memorial Hospital He was born Jan. 1 1908, in Lincoln, Neb, a son of Fred and Elizabeth Schriner Fox. He grew up and attended schools in Worden. During his teens, Alex worked in the Worden area on various farms. Alex married Martha Finck on April 2, 1936 in Hardin. The couple began farming and ranching north of Hardin in the early 1940s and retired from active farming in 1975. The couple moved to Hardin in 1983. Alex was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, a church which he helped build. He enjoyed watching baseball However, he most enjoyed 4-H fairs and watching his grandchildren participate with their 4-H projects. Survivors include his wife, Martha of Hardin; two sons, Don and his wife, Luella Fox of Hardin, Larry and his wife, Marilyn Fox of Laurel; three daughters, Karen Fox of Billings, Margie and her husband, Travis Hindman of Springfield, 111., Sharon and her husband, Jerry Helmann in Washington; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bullis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Gordineer officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to Bullis Mortuary of Hardin.
