Robert "Bob" Jay Aufdemorte passed away peacefully in his sleep at home February 7, 2008. Robert was born February 2, 1938 in Stockton, Utah to Frank and Gladys Aufdemorte. He spent his younger years between Stockton and Eureka. He married Sharlene Reynolds August 5, 1960. Robert was a miner most of his life. He worked for Mcfarland and Hullinger for many years. He retired April of 2006 from Minerals Equipment Company after 30 years. He enjoyed camping, listening to old western music (especially Bob Wills), and going to Wendover to play Keno (that is all he ever played). He was always joking around with friends and family, and had a wonderful sense of humor; he was a true friend to many. Robert always felt truly blessed to find a wonderful wife Sharlene. He was an example of a loving father and husband. Robert is survived by his wife of 47 years Sharlene; Children, Lorrene (John) Douglas, Robert Jr. (Rhonda) Jannette Vreeken; eight grandchildren, Nick, Zack, Amanda, Tristen, D.J., Tiffanny, Dexter, Kristen; and one precious great-granddaughter, Hope, a special pet Ginger, brothers and sister's Margaret Meli, Tooele; Arlene Hore, Santaquin; Frank and Rulon, Stockton. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister's, Zelma Ahlberg and Louella Webb, a grand daughter, and special pet Molly. Graveside services will be held February 13th 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Stockton City Cemetery Stockton, Utah. The family offers their gratitude and thanks to the caring and professional staff at the Huntsman Cancer Center, and to the Community Nursing Services.
