This wintry world grew a little colder early Thursday morning, when our beloved mother and grandmother unexpectedly left us. Frances Arlene Aufdemorte Hore, 78, passed away on December 8, 2011 at her home.

She was born April 17, 1933 in Nephi, Utah to Frank Edward and Gladys Bowers Aufdemorte. She married Boyd N.M. Hore on January 7, 1948 in Nephi.

Arlene worked for many years at the Utah State Hospital as a Psych Tech. She was a member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers.

She was the finest and most loving mother two sons could ever have. We were blessed in all ways to be raised by her. She did this alone because of the early death of our father.

She enjoyed working in her flower garden and doing family history. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her joy and the best of playmates. They were her passion. She loved long rides and vacations with her family.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in the Santaquin City Cemetery under the direction of Holladay-Brown Funeral Home, Santaquin.
