Evelyn J. Hasler, 77, of Oakfield, WI, died suddenly while vacationing with her family on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Epworth Hospital, Richmond, Victoria, Australia. She was born on January 25, 1931 in Douglas, MN to Arthur and Beatrice (Mull) Hall. She spent her first 18 years on the family farm and learned the importance of animals and hard work. She also enjoyed 7 years of schooling in a one room school.

Evelyn married Henry Albert Krueger on May 20, 1949. He passed away June 15, 1960 in a tractor accident. She married Vernon Cliford Nelson in 1961. He passed away with heart problems on January 24, 1972. She then married Arthur Andrew Hasler on June 2, 1973. After marriage they farmed in the Wausaukee, Wisconsin for the next 30 years. Evelyn always enjoyed animals and watching things grow.

Evelyn owned and operated the Shop & Swap in Crivitz, WI during the late 1970's and early 1980's. After Art passed away on March 20, 2002, Evelyn moved to Fond du Lac, WI with her son, Jerry, to help him with his business. She was also closer to the rest of her family.

Evelyn is survived by her three sons, Lyle Krueger of Juneau, AK, Russell (Joann) Krueger of Plattsmouth, NE, and Billy Guy Powers of Minneapolis, MN; four daughters, Bonnie (Robert Cole) Helland of Owatonna, MN, Julie Griese of Sheboygan, WI, Edna (Dale) Hendricks of Rochester, MN, and Barbara Dins of Sheboygan, WI; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; her brothers, Kenneth (Shirley) Hall of Ornoco, MN, Lyle (Fayne) Hall of Mission, TX, and Arthur Hall of Rochester, MN; a sister, Lola Hall of Stewartville, MN; and aunt, Ruth Hall of Sparta, WI; step daughter, Carol Palmer of Ishpeming, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 husbands; a son, Jerry Krueger; a brother, Fred Hall; an infant sister, Edna Hall.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home, Sparta with Reverend Douglas E. Brandt officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Greenfield Cemetery, Tunnel City, Wisconsin.

Friends may call at the Lanham-Miller Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Town of Greenfield Cemetery.
