Carl S. Loken was the first child of Erick Knutson Loken and Gurina (Berge) Loken. Carl and Alice (Aarhus) Loken had three daughters, Blanche, Lola and Kathleen.

Obituary
HAYFIELD - Carl S. Loken 79, of Hayfield died Tuesday afternoon at his home here. He had been in poor health for many years.

Mr. Loken was born May 13, 1883 in Vernon Township, Dodge County and Carl S. Loken married Alisa "Alice" Aarhus of Hayfield on August 4, 1909. The couple lived in Minneapolis several years before moving to the Hayfield area.

Mr. Loken is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Orning of Hayfield and Mrs. Eugene Chadwick of Alberton, Mont.: seven grandchildren: four brothers, Elmer Loken of Hayfield, Louis of Byron and Alfred and Sevren of Minneapolis, and one sister, Mrs. J. O. Davis of Minneapolis.

Also surviving are three half-brothers, Thomas Exe of Hayfield, Benjamin Exe of Minneapolis and Martin Exe of Tucson, Ariz., and two half-sisters, Mrs. Louis Carlson of Minneapolis and Mrs. Frank Gould of Van Nuys, Calif.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 am. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church here by the Rev. Thomas Mails. Burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Pallbeaters will be Wilford Haukom, Peter Lee, Martin Spiten, Carl Scharberg, Lionel Simonson and Reuben Gilderhus.

Friends may call at the Cole Funeral Chapel here today and then at the church before services Friday.
