Fair Play., September 18, 1909
Ste. Genevieve, MO

At his home in Zell, Ste. Genevieve county, on Saturday, September 11, 1909, at 11 p.m., with apoplexy, Lawrence Siebert, aged 64 years.
Funeral services with requiem mass were held at the Zell Catholic church Monday morning and the remains were interred in the Zell cemetery.
Mr. Siebert was born in Ste. Genevieve county in the year 1845 and was married on October 14, 1867, to Miss Mary Anna Klein. To the union were born eleven children, eight of whom, with their mother, survive ;
Emily,(Mrs. Xavier Basler);
Phjlomonn, (Mrs. John Joggerst);
Christine, (Mrs. John Okenfuss) ;
Theresu, (Mrs. Leo Naumnn);
Annie,; (Mrs. Joseph Jokerst);
Frank,Lawrence and Albert Siebert. He also leaves 24 grandchildren, two brothers, Joseph and George Siebert, and one sister, Mrs. John Dallas. .
Mr. Siebert was a good Christian, having been a faithful member of the Catholic church all his life. As a citizen he was in every respect a model one who had the respect and
esteem of all who know him. He was a man of honor, and his integrity was unquestioned; his friendship when once established was of the kind that knew no bounds, and in his death our county has lost a good and useful citizen. He was a member of Felix St. James Post G.A.R. and that order has lost a faithful and true comrade.
There was a large attendance of friends and of the family at the funeral, who thus paid their last respects to one whom they had esteemed when he was alive and whose death they sincerely mourned. May he rest in peace.
