Anna was born to Dutch emigrants on June 11, 1921 at the newly built Auburn General Hospital. She grew up on her parent's dairy farm in the small community of Thomas between Kent and Auburn. She graduated in 1939 from Kent High School and later attended the Charette School of Costume Design in Seattle. In 1944 she married Nicholas Mulder and enjoyed 60 years of happy marriage. They continued to farm her parent's dairy farm until their retirement. Anna enjoyed gardening, painting, and traveling with her family having visited all 50 states. She was active in the local garden clubs and Children's Orthopedic Guilds and at the Kent United Methodist Church. After her husband died in 2004, she moved to the Village Green Retirement Campus. She enjoyed spending time at her home on Hood Canal which she continued to do so until her death.
Survivors include son Fred; son Ed and daughter-in-law Chris; daughter Gretchen, her sons Brian, Nelson, and Larry Jr, and his children, Alexander and Arianna.
