AMANDA KESSLER, widow of Sylvester Kessler, died in the Hanover Hospital on March 29, 1953, after an 8 week illness. She suffered a broken hip in a fall which, with complications, caused her death.
Her age at death was 82 years, and 15 days.
Faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she is survived by two sons, William and Albert Kessler, Seven Valleys R.D. 1; six daughters, Mrs. Wilson Shearer, Mrs. Roman Strausbaugh, and Mrs. Mark Fuhrman, Jefferson; Mrs. Stuart Peppler and Mrs. Levi E. Bortner, Glen Rock R.D., and Mrs. Curtis Albright, Hanover R.D.; 30 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral was held on April 1 at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Burial in Zion (Shaffer's) Cemetery.
