Betty L. "Bo" (Ritz) Freeman, 96, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in her home. Born February 20, 1927 in Quincy, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold G. and Mildred (Verdier) Ritz. Mrs. Freeman graduated from Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1944. She worked as a hostess at Keystone Kountry Kitchen Restaurant and a cashier at Waynesboro Area Middle School. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.
She was loved by her family and friends. The family is so grateful she got to stay in her home, where she lived her life and had so many wonderful memories. She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Sweet (Jake) and Christie Freeman, both of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Austin H. "Diz" Freeman, who died on February 9, 1968; and one brother, H. Glenwood "Woody" Ritz.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 25, 2023 in Green Hill Cemetery, 953 S. Potomac Street, Waynesboro with Pastor Steve Sheldon officiating. There will be no public viewing.
