Deloris Jean "Pean" Bennett Haddix, 76, a resident of Norton and for the past two years a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, surrounded by her loving family.

Deloris was born Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1941, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Ralph Bennett and Virginia Mae Pingley Bennett.

Deloris made her home with her mother for 35 years following her Dad's passing. She was formerly married to Parker Haddix. She remained close friends with him and his fiancee, Lorene Bunner.

Left to cherish her memory are two children, Tim Haddix and wife, Amie, of Beverly and Tamatha Snodgrass of Beverly, with whom Deloris made her home for the past two years; eight grandchildren, Zack Haddix and companion, Courtney Christian, Silas Gibson, Riley Haddix, Maddison Snodgrass, Owen Haddix, Presley Snodgrass, Kenton Haddix, Braelyn Haddix and Ethan Riggleman; two great-grandchildren, Madilynn and Lilyann; one sister, Cathy Schoonover; nieces and nephews, Ted and Peggy Bennett, Rita and Eddie Howell, Ginger and Mandi Cunningham and Mason, Ralph Bennett, Lee Bennett, Jeremy Schoonover, Dee Dee Schoonover, Karissa Corder, Marissa Schoonover and Dominique Gates; several great nieces and nephews; cousins, Helena Schutz and friend, Matt Earnest, Alice Holbert, Deloris Hamrick, Juanita Phillips, Arizona Pingley, Lovada Pingley, Mabel Shifeltt, Karen Tenney, Virginia Pyles, Jake Pingley and family and Kathy Broschart; sister-in-law, Janice Bennett' special family friend, Mike "JR" Riggleman' and special caregiver, Danita Meek.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was one brother, Ed Bennett; and one brother-in-law, Keith Schoonover.

Deloris was a graduate of Coalton High School and had been employed at Memorial General and Davis Memorial hospitals for 45-plus years. Deloris loved her children and her entire family completely and unconditionally. She remained close friends with several former co-workers. The family wishes to extend their thanks and appreciation to Select In Home Care for their dedication and compassion.

Deloris' request for cremation will be honored, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
