William McCracken enlisted in Capt. Joseph McCracken's Co., Col. Van Schaick's Regt., toward the end of the war, serving 3 years and 3 months. In 1820 his debts were $100, his property was worth $24.87, and he had $15 owing him. His wife had been a widow with two daughters, and he had three sons and a daughter of his own. In 1790 he was in Hebron, Washington Co., N. Y.
