Gladys P. Stitt, 94, Blair Chalet, Hollidaysburg, went home to be with her Lord early Tuesday morning at Altoona Regional Health System, Bon Secours Hospital Campus.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William C. and Grace (Herschel) Stoner. She married Ralph D. Stitt May 13, 1934, in Altoona. He died Sept. 25, 1990.
Surviving are two daughters: Wanda J. Stahl of Marysville and Cindy L. Baker of Roaring Spring; a sister, Phyllis Farrell of Duncansville; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Mrs. Stitt was a member of Foot of Ten Independent Bible Church. She was a homemaker and a 1931 graduate of Altoona High School.
There will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Faith Baptist Church, 315 40th St., Altoona by Pastor Gary Dull. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
