Phyllis G. Farrell, 85, a guest of the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday at Altoona Regional.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William and Grace (Hershel) Stoner. She married Leo J. Farrell Jr. on Nov. 27, 1948, in Altoona.
Surviving are four children: Jim and wife, Kathy, of Philadelphia, Bonnie Ebersole and husband, Joe, of Hollidaysburg, Tammy of Pine Grove Mills and Kevin and wife, Lori, of College Station, Texas; six grandchildren: Jessica Raggi and husband, Rob, Molly Bower and husband, Gregory, Nicole, Olivia and Jonathan Farrell and Amber Ebersole; a great-grandson, Robbie Raggi; and a great-granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn Raggi.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers: Walter, Harold, Kenneth and William Stoner; and a sister, Gladys Stitt.
Phyllis was a 1945 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a member of the Hollidaysburg Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, and she enjoyed baking and embroidery.
Friends will be received from 1:30 until the 3 p.m. memorial service Friday, May 31, 2013, at Altoona Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Missionary Maintenance Services Aviation, P.O. Box 118, Coshocton, OH 43812, in memory of Phyllis Farrell.
