Services for the Rev. Aaron Kyle Andrews, 59, of Anniston, Rt. 10, will be today at 3 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chape with the Rev. C.C. McCain, the Rev. Nelson Kuykendall and the Rev. Lewis Denson officiating. Masonic graveside services will be in Forestlawn Gardens. The body will be at the funeral home through services.
Mr. Andrews died Friday in University Hospital in Birmingham after a long illiness.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Betty Stewart Andrews of Anniston; a daughter, Miss Sheila Andrews of Anniston; two sisters, Mrs. Faye Williams of Jacksonville and Mrs. Willette Easterwood of Tuscaloosa; and two brothers Harold Andrews and the Rev. Gordon Andrews, both of Jacksonville.
Pallbearers will be members of Ohatchee Masonic Lodge No. 380. Honary pallbearers will be deacons of Ohatchee First Baptist Church.
Mr. Andrews was a native of Calhoun County and had pastored several area churches. He was pastor of Ohatchee First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II and earned the Purple Heart Medal, two Oak Leaf Clusters and received a presidential citation while serving as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. Mr. Andrews was a retired supervisor at Anniston Army Depot. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Birmingham Scottish Rite Bodies and Ohatchee Masonic Lodge.
