RIDGELAND -- Harvey Lee "Strib" Able, 76, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, at Ridgeland Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be at the funeral home, with burial in Grahamville Cemetery.
Mr. Able was born Aug. 4, 1930, in Orangeburg, the son of Eugene Able and Eva Cooper Able.
He was a retired Ridgeland chief of police, having served 30 years, and was the owner of Able Construction Co. He was a member of Euhaw Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife, a son, three daughters, a sister, Eva Mae Williams of Orangeburg; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is in charge.
