Ross Eugene Wilson, 76, passed away Monday, April 12, 1999, after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was born Feb. 26, 1923, in Salt Lake City, a son of Cleve Robert and Lareen Hicks Wilson. He grew up in spanish fork and guraduated from spanish Fork High School. He loved Flying and received his private pilot's license while still in high school. Ross served in teh Army Air Corps during World War II in Italy for three years as a radar technician. Agtter the war he had his own radio and TV repair shop. He married Marie Frampton May 5, 1948, in the Salt Lake Temple. They moved to Layton and he worked at Hill Air force Base and gave 32 years of faithful service. After retiring from Hill, he worked at ILMS in Ogden for five years as director of technical services. Ross was a High Priest in the LDS Church and served in various positions such as Deacon's leader, Mutual presidency, Sunday School presidency, magazine represntative, Scouting, welfare canning representative and High Priest Presidency. He was always ready to give a hleping hand to everyone. He loved his family with an unconditional love. He enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening, and sharing the harvest. Survivors include his wife, Marie; son, David (Linda Kay)Wilson; daughters: Diance (Wallace)Haun; Linda Wilson, Layton' and Janice (Scott) Staats, Prineville, Ore.; sisters: Emma Steele, Goshen; Bessie Snow, Spanish Fork; and Dawn (Ken) Nodzu, Salt Lake City; Borhter, Morris Wilson, San Diego, Calif. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 16, 1999, at 11 am at the Wasatch Ward Chapel, 789 Wasatch Dr. Friends and family may call Thursday 6 to 8 pm at the Lindquist Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., and Friday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 am pror to services Intement Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
