Brenda E. Crain, 69 of Jacksonville died at the Barton Stone Christian Home nursing care facility on May 6th, 2023. Brenda was a loving mother, aunt, great aunt, grandma, and friend to many. She enjoyed cooking, puzzles, time with family, and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her family has often described her with slightly mischievous side and a laugh to match. She would often help out those in need with whatever she had and was described as having a large heart with lots of love. She is survived by two sons Christopher Michael Crain and Isaac Scott Crain, two sisters, Sharon Havens of Jacksonville, Patsy Burton of Moline, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Crain, her parents Silas and Juanita Havens, and half siblings Eldred Smith, Barbara Wolfe, Norma Crawford, full siblings Michael Havens, Sandra Havens Wilson, and Kenneth Havens. In lieu of a funeral the family is holding private gravesite service at Memorial Lawn Cemetery on Friday May 12th, 2023 in South Jacksonville.
