Anna Lucille (Keefe) Allen, 86, of Bloomville, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.

Anna was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Bascom, to Thomas and Anna Keefe. She married Samuel Allen Sr. in St. Joseph Catholic Church July 27, 1944, and he preceded her in death in November 1979.

Anna is survived by many family members who will miss her dearly: children, Thomas Allen (Diane Walter) of Sycamore, John (Doris) Allen of Upper Sandusky, Barb (Dennis) Curry and Mary (Michael) Martin of Bloomville; and a daughter-in-law, Irene Allen of Tiffin.

She also is survived by 13 grandchildren, David (Amy) Allen, Ken (Janice) Allen, Jeff Allen of Bloomville, Cristy Allen of Tiffin, Laura (Gary) Danner, Michelle Allen, Tony (Jenny) Allen, all of Sycamore, the late Jesse Allen and wife, Julie Allen of Canada, Stephanie (Eddie) Wurm of Attica, Jason (Anna) Curry of Bloomville, Michael (Nancy) Martin of New York, Michelle (Brad) Burns of Tiffin and Matthew (Natalie) Martin of Columbus; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two sisters, Margaret Parkins and Janette Hoepf of Tiffin.

Anna was preceded in death by her oldest son, Samuel Allen Jr.; two grandchildren, Jesse Allen and Thomas Allen; five sisters, Mary Graham, Cecelia Schleter, Martha Janskowski, Agnes Hohman and Louise O'Connor; and four brothers, Thomas, Joseph, Jerome and James Keefe.

Anna worked as a homemaker and dedicated most all of her time to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Red Hats Society. She enjoyed working outside with gardening and always taking pride in working in her woods. She loved doing puzzles and playing cards with her sisters. Anna was an avid bird watcher and Democrat.

Lindsay-Olds Funeral Home is taking care of arrangements. Graveside services are 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Woodlawn Cemetery, outside of Bloomville on TR 173. Immediately following, there is a light meal at Bloomville Community Center.

Memorials may be made to F.A.C.T. or the donor's choice.

Anna will always be in our hearts and minds forever and always until we are all together again.
