Bill Magruder, age 88 of Kankakee, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, at his home. He was born April 27, 1935, in Wilmington, IL, the son of Raymond W. and Margaret (Canney) Magruder. Bill married Patricia Chaplinski on June 19, 1954, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley.
Bill was a retired truck driver and member of the Teamsters Local 783. Prior to trucking he farmed with his father. He enjoyed fishing and was very skilled mechanically and could fix anything. Bill was a former member of the Moose and the Aroma Park Boat Club.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Jill Magruder; one half-brother, Ronald Magruder; and two brothers-in-law, Duane Higginbotham and Weaver Williams.
Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais.
