The passing of Mary Silliphant, wife of the late Donald A. Silliphant, occurred Thursday, April 9, 2015 at her residence at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Born September 20, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Fernand and Susan Leger. Mary retired as an RNA at the Loch Lomond Villa, and had also worked at the Dr. Robert's Hospital. She volunteered as Superintendent for St. John Ambulance for many years teaching first aid. Mary is survived by her daughter, Donna Silliphant; daughter-in-law, Judy Huggard; grandchildren: Sean Johnson, Christine Kyle, and Mark Silliphant; great-grandchildren: Halley Silliphant, Tiffani Kyle, and Kayce Kyle; and her great-great-grandson, Jayshawn. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was predeceased by her son, Donald W. Silliphant, and all her brothers and sisters. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens
