Asheville - Caryl Young Holcombe, 72, of 22 Thompson Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at her home.

Mrs. Holcombe was born in Andrews and was a daughter of the late Charlie Ross and Laura Adams Young. She was married to Jerome "Bud" Holcombe, who died May 21, 2000. She was retired after 16 years with Westinghouse and she was a member of New Morgan Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mitzi Holcombe of the home and Karen Wilde and her husband Eddie of Candler; two sons, Michael Holcombe and his wife Tonya of Canton and Joey Holcombe of the home; five grandchildren, Jamie Wilde, Jessica Holcombe, Joshua Holcombe, Danielle Wilde and Jacobe Holcombe; and two sisters, Christine Quarles of Asheville and Betty Riddle of Burnsville.

The funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday in Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Bobby Smith, Tim Lee and Keith Holcombe officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbeares will be Eddie Wilde, Jamie Wilde, Mike Holcombe, Joey Holcombe, John Washburn, David Young and Keith Holcombe.

Her family will receive friends 7 to 9 p. m. Thursady at the funeral home.
