Catherine was the daughter of John Walsh and Ellen Blanchfield. She married Michael Madigan on 21 Oct 1871in Cook County, Illinois. Their three children were Michael (1873-?), Kate (1875-1895), and Stephen (1885-1917). Catherine died at Chicago State hospital in Norwood Park after a ten year decline.
