Michael Wozniak was born on September 15, 1873, in Rogalin, Poznan, Poland, son of John Jacob Wozniak (1848-1908) and Catherine Kaczmarek (1849-1885). Both parents were born in Rogalin, Poznan, Poland and they married there on October 5, 1872.

Around in 1879, the family immigrated and settled in Winona, Minnesota. In 1885, his mother, Catherine, died by giving a childbirth.

In 1886, at St. Stanislaus Kotska Polish Catholic Church, in Winona, his father, John Jacob Wozniak married to his second wife, Stella Wlodarczyk.

Around 1890, Michael Wozniak moved to Philadelphia, and later his father and his new family followed.

On November 16, 1898, at St. Laurentius Church in Fishtown, Michael Wozniak married to Frances Wojtkowiak, daughter of Adam Wojtkowiak and Mary Kasperska. They had Cecelia (1899-1986); Michael (1903-1918); Lillian (1904-1906); Maryanna (1908-?) and Walter (1906-2000). Both Lillian and Maryanna were buried at Holy Redeemer in Richmond.

In 1910, the family moved to Camden, New Jersey, where they later lived permanently at 1446 South Tenth Street and, on November 3, 1943, Michael Wozniak died there.

In 1986, the row house was razed in 1981 to make a room for parking lot at West Jersey Hospital.
