Domenic Candy, age 68 years, died at his home on Bergin Road, beacon Falls, yesterday afternoon after a long illness.
He was born in Italy and came to this country when a young man. Mr. Canty lived for many years in Beacon Falls and wile there was employed in the Goodyear Rubber Company. He was well known inBeacon Falls and vicinity.
He leaves, besides his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Basil of Union city and Mrs. Rose Signore of Beacon Falls, two sons, Ernest and Carl Canty of Beacon Falls; one sister, Mrs. Louise Coterie of Torrington; a brother, Matthew Conti of Yonkers, N.Y., and two grandchildren, Eloise and Ronald Basil of Union City.
The body was taken to the Stewart Funeral home, 219 West Main Street, where funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Wilbur D. Ruggles of St. John's church will officiate.
Burial will be in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery.
