RINGGOLD, LA – Funeral services for Betty P. Woodard, 88, of Ringgold, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 9, 2018 in Rockett Funeral Home Chapel, Ringgold, LA. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery, Ringgold, LA. Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Rockett Funeral Home Chapel, Ringgold, LA. II Timothy 4:6-7, For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith Betty was born January 10, 1930 in Oak Grove, TX and passed away February 3, 2018 in Minden, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lucille Perkins; son, Don Andrew “Andy” Woodard; great granddaughter, Alyssa Woodard and a sister, Jimmie Lou Horton. Left to cherish her memory include her sons, Charles “Chuck” Woodard and wife, Brenda of Ringgold, LA and Joseph “Joe” Woodard and wife, Kamaka “Mikey” of Temple, TX; daughters, Suzzette Thornton and husband, Woodford “Woody” of Waialua, HI and Jennifer “GiGi” Frusion and husband, Alan of New Park, PA; daughter-in-law, Kathy Woodard of Ringgold, LA; sister, Gay Nell Hammond of Memphis, TN; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Adam Woodard, Caleb Woodard, Jacob Woodard, Pat Woodard, Brian Woodard, and Jason Artman. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Knotts, Cory Thornton, and Justin Thornton. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Minden Medical Center ICU Staff.
