"Las Cruces, NM -- Martha Bayliss Winn, a long time resident of Rotterdam, NY, died May 22, 2002 in Las Cruces, NM after a long illness with cancer. Mrs. Winn was a graduate of Draper High School, a member of the Helderberg Chapter of the Eastern Star, and did volunteer work for the United Way and the Cancer Society in Las Cruces. Mrs. Winn was employed as a bookkeeper at Union College for many years. She is survived by her husband, George Winn, Jr.; a son, Russell G. Winn and his wife, Billie; a sister, Erna B. Theisen and her husband, Ted, all of Las Cruces. She also had a number of nieces and nephews in New York, New Mexico, California and Texas. Other survivors include a grandson and granddaughter, Mike and Suzie McLaughlin, and a great-grandson, Matthew, of Tempe, AZ; a cousin, Glenda Black of Schenectady; and a number of relatives in Scotland. Mrs. Winn will be buried in Memory's Garden in Colonie. Anyone wishing to may send donations to the Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 E. Montana Street, Las Cruces, NM 88005."
