Barbara Dell Harris, age 82, passed away to her heavenly home on June 14, 2023, in Athens, Texas. She was born on July 14, 1940, to Monroe Aaron and Gladys Smiley Aaron in Murchison, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Billy Gene Harris; granddaughter, Lesa Leann Harris; great granddaughter, Karlee Bell Harris; sister, Dorothy Sawyer; brothers, Aubrey Aaron, and Emory Aaron.
Barbara grew up in Murchison Texas. She worked for Henderson County Memorial Hospital for several years and then became the office manager of H & H Wrecker Service of Athens. She loved working on genealogy and discovering family history. Her pride and joy were her kids, grand kids and great grand kids. She never missed a birthday where she didn't send them a card, to let them know how much they meant to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her sons, Ricky Harris and wife Johnnie Lynn; Billy Wayne and wife Donna; Gary Harris; Kelly Harris and wife Tanya; Kerry Harris and wife Cindy; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one on the way; 12 great- great grandchildren; sister, Lillie Bell Lackey; along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Sand Springs Church with Erick Graham and Cody Kolman officiating. Burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park
