Graveside service for Maybelle Reynolds Nelson, 83, of Weatherford, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 10, 2023, in Rosehill Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, June 9, 2023, at the funeral home.
Maybelle passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, in Weatherford. She was born May 19, 1940 in Cleburne to Barney Gibbs and Honor Gaskill Reynolds. Maybelle worked as a Fabricator in the Steel Mill Industry. She was a feisty lady who truly believed in enjoying life. Galveston was her favorite place to travel. She was organized, reliable and loved to shop. Maybelle was a dog lover and a night owl. She loved to spend time looking at the lights at night. Maybelle enjoyed shooting guns with her son and attending his shows as an Elvis impersonator. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy D. Nelson and his wife, Nancy; long-time friend, Jo Ann Burt; nephew, Mickey Richardson; and a number of extended family members and friends.
Maybelle was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Louis Reynolds and Gladys Richardson and nephew, Glen Richardson.
