Virthel Tarter, 59, a resident of Eubank, Kentucky passed away early Sunday morning, October 1, 2006 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, Kentucky. He was born August 29, 1947 at Naomi, Kentucky the son of Hillard Tarter and Vinnie Marie Daws Tarter. He was retired from Boyle Block Company as a diesel mechanic. He loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing,traveling, his coffee and his dog "Toby". He was an excellent mechanic.


Survivors include one son Robbie Tarter and his wife Gretta, Somerset, Kentucky; one daughter, Sherry Ann Ailes and her husband Glenn, Somerset, Kentucky; two brothers, Coy Tarter and his wife Louise, Cincinnati, Ohio and James Tarter and his wife Ann, Somerset, Kentucky; two sisters, Luretha Goforth, Cincinnati, Ohio and Wilma Hensley and her husband Earl, Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren, Brooke Isaacs, Cheyenne Isaacs and Rinna Tarter; also a special friend, Barbara Worley, Somerset, Kentucky; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillard and Vinnie Marie Tarter and one brother, Vertrees Tarter.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Shaw officiating. Musical selections include George Jones "Amazing Grace" and "In The Garden", "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" and "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunn. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery at Naomi. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening after 6:00 pm. at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home.
