Catherine "Cass" (Derstine) Anders, 84, of Souderton, PA, formerly of Elroy, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Grand View Hospital.

She was the loving wife of the late Donald N. Anders for 58 years. Catherine was born in Franconia Twp., PA to the late Irwin A. Derstine and the late Lizzie M. (Landis) Derstine.

Following her marriage Catherine was a devoted wife and loving homemaker for many years before being employed at Franconia Heritage Restaurant as a hostess and cashier for about 20 years.

During her life, she was involved in Women's Aglow which was a ministry of Worship and Encouragement to local women of all ages. Those times brought her great joy and long-lasting relationships. She also volunteered at the Mennonite Resource Center of Souderton and was a lifelong member of Franconia Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday school and summer Bible school. She faithfully served as a Youth Sponsor with her husband, Deaconess, and a member of the Sewing Circle and Care Team Ministry. She also enjoyed singing with the church choir.

Catherine was known to greatly enjoy quilting and sewing, and lovingly made crib quilts for her great-grandchildren. As an avid reader, she spent time studying her Bible, memorizing scripture, and prayed for each of her family members by name daily. Catherine loved spending time with her family and enjoyed many vacations to the beach with her husband and grandchildren.

She will be remembered as an outgoing, compassionate, caring, and friendly woman that was always willing to serve others and could often be found singing while working throughout the house.
